Gildo & Maria is an internationally-recognised brand of desserts, produced in Milan, Italy, by the family-owned company Rachelli.

Founded 75 years ago in 1935 by Gildo and Maria Rachelli, the business began life as an ice cream parlour, but grew to become a name synonymous around the world with the best of Italian ice creams and chilled desserts.

Today, William Aitken brings in to New Zealand three of the company's most popular products, based on Maria Rachelli's original recipes.

Gildo & Maria Tiramisu is a traditional Italian recipe made from savoiardi (lady finger biscuits) dipped in espresso coffee, and layered with a mixture of egg yolks, mascarpone cheese and sugar, topped with a sprinkling of cocoa.

Gildo & Maria Profiteroles are made with traditional choux pastry, distinguishing them from the puff pastry commonly used for Kiwi cream puffs.  Each serving is filled with cream and coated in a delectable chocolate sauce.

Gildo & Maria caramel-flavoured Panna Cotta is a traditional Italian panna cotta recipe, served with a rich caramel sauce.
